There are so many things to see and do when you come to the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, Michigan area.

There are more than a dozen wineries and tasting room from Benton Harbor down through New Buffalo. Here are some of our favorites:

Vineyard 2121 is just 6 miles from the studio and features dry and sweet reds and whites as well as hard cider and delicious food. With a lovely patio overlooking the vineyard, and super-friendly staff, it is a pleasure to visit and enjoy some of their award-winning wines. Waterbury loves the Le Rouge de Trois.

Less than a mile from "2121" is 12 Corners Vineyards. We really enjoy their Pinot Grigio which we try to have a bottle or two on hand and also serve at Thanksgiving.

Dablon Vineyards is a 25-minute drive from the studio and features a stunning tasting room overlooking their vineyard. We suggest you try their Pinot Noir or Malbec.

Just over half a mile away is Harbor Shores Golf Resort, a Jack Nicklaus Signature course. Home to the prestigious Senior PGA Championship, the season opens April 30 at Harbor Shores.

Our property, Wild Turkey Run, is a 15 minute walk to a lovely little county park beach on Lake Michigan. You will find the lake to be soothing whether you like to stroll the beach and look for beach glass or rocks, sit and listen to the waves, or watch the sunset. The county park is free but there are also larger beaches, Jean Klock Park and Silver Beach just to the south.

Micro-breweries are popping up everywhere and Benton Harbor is no exception. Less than 1/2 mile down the road from the studio is the North Pier Brewing Company and across the street is the North Shore Inn, famous around town for their burgers and sandwiches.

The Livery boasts unique lagers, pale ales, stouts, pilsners, IPAs, bocks sours, and more. Try their spent-grain pizza for a unique treat. The Livery has live music Friday and Saturday nights.
